Guidelines: SavannaPoets Online Open Mic May 2020 Edition

It is unique, it is first of its kind—video poetry competition.

SavannaPoet Online Open Mic (#spoom) is a virtual poetry reading competition.

For submissions, record your poetry reading video of between 1 to 5 minutes duration, upload on your Instagram and tag us @savannapoets with the hashtag #SPOOM alternatively, you can dm or email your entry to us directly at savannapoets@gmail.com (or share your cloud link with us).

Please indicate Your Name | Title of Poem | Description (if any).
We will pick on a first come first serve basis and post on our YouTube, the entry with the highest number of views on our YouTube channel by 7 pm on the 25th of May wins the cash prize of 20, 000 Naira. 

Theme: The blues/bliss of the Coronavirus lockdown
Entries deadline:  7 pm, 20th May 2020

Video Guide
Creativity
By all means, be creative, break all the boundaries if you can, you can even make your submission an animation video

Orientation
Make sure to use landscape orientation and not portrait orientation while recording.

Editing
You can make your videos more fun (if you can) by adding special effects and sounds, even subtitle. 

 Above all make sharp videos with clear audio.

    What could be the reason?
