Guidelines: SavannaPoets Online Open Mic June 2020 Edition

Welcome to the June Edition of SavannaPoet Online Open Mic (#SpoomCompetition) a monthly virtual poetry reading competition. For submissions, record your poetry reading video, upload on your Instagram page and tag us @savannapoets with the hashtag #SpoomCompetition. Alternatively, you can email your entry to us directly at savannapoets@gmail.com (or share your drive link with us). Please indicate the following in the body of the email: Your Name  Title of Poem   The Poem (the text) and Description (if any). We will pick on a first-come-first-serve basis and post poems on our YouTube channel. The entry with the highest number of views on our YouTube channel by 7 pm on the 25th of June wins the cash prize of 20, 000 Naira.  Theme: All themes and genres are welcome. It is a delight to announce the completion of SavannaPoets Online Open Mic-May 2020 Edition...and the WINNER is Adenowo Oluwapelumi with her poem  Be a Life Saver . We had a total of 49 entries, conclusively, Be a Life Saver had the highest number of views standing at 8078 views by 25th May. Worthy of mention are the runners-up, the due of Daniel Ajayi and Adedayo Ademokoya with their collabo poem  Hope for a Life  racking up a total 5761 views. In the near future, we shall be having prizes for runners-up. It has been fun all the way, we are grateful to all participants and supporters so far. Let's do it again! Kindly indicate your name, title of poem and social media handle(s) in the body of the mail so that we can tag you when we post across our platforms on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Dear Contestants, We are glad to announce that we have, at this point, come to the end of submissions stage for SavannaPoets Online Open Mic-May 2020 Edition A total of 49 entries met the guidelines and we have posted them on our YouTube Channel for views, contestants are encouraged to share their unique entry link with their friends and family to promote viewership. In line with our mission to entrench the literary arts culture deeper, promote and encourage poetry by consistently driving digital visibility for poets and their works, in the next five days we will be monitoring the number of views along with you all.
